Buffet: your choice of brown and white breads, currant bread, Dutch "sugar

Our Dinner Cruise in Amsterdam is
quite an experience. On board our luxury glass-domed motor launches
we combine a cruise along the illuminated canals with the delight
of a 4-couse deluxe dinner. |
We start with our welcome cocktail
Kir Royal followed by two entrees: Tagliolini pasta with smoked
lamb ham and a lavender
dressing, and a consomé with fresh garden herbs. The main
course is tournedos of turkey served with potatoes au gratin, seasonal
vegetables and a tarragon-flavoured apple juice. The dinner will
be rounded of by a raspberry charlotte surrounded by a blackberry
coulis, followed by a cup of coffee or tea with a selection of
traditional Dutch biscuits and a after-dinner liquer.
Red and white wine, beer and soft drinks will be served during the
entire cruise. Our motorlaunches are well equipped and, when evenings
are chilly, comfortably heated. The service on board is friendly,
and our multilingual hostess is there to solve language problems,
to comment on the scenery, and add her share to a memorable evening.

the flower auction (closed on Sundays and replaced by a visit to

(visit). We continue to Rotterdam for lunch (not included) and
a visit of the
city. On the way back,
we pass in The Hague the Houses of Parliament, the Peace Palace,
Scheveningen, the North Sea beach resort, and visit the miniature
town Madurodam.

by ditches and rivers. Along the tranquil river Vecht, well known
for its beautiful 17th and 18th century mansions and castles, we
reach the lovely lake district of Loosdrecht for a cup of coffee
(included).

excursion is to "de Zaanse Schans" a small 40-house
community just to the north of Amsterdam on the banks of the river
Zaan. |
There used to be 700 windmills here at the turn of
the 18th century, nowadays there are only 5 left.
The houses are made of green timber, have steep roofs and white window
frames. A visit will be made to a windmill and a wooden shoe factory.
Before returning to Amsterdam through typical Dutch scenery, we visit
the medieval town of Edam.
